Care Move Removals

We had the misfortune of hiring these shocking people to do our house move they are great a selling you the product and awful at delivering it .. they damaged the house we were moving from and the house we were moving into they did not put down any floor coverings and just walking through our new house in dirty wet boots leaving the carpets filthy they ripped the wallpaper off the walls trying to force our sofas into the lounge they have damaged our chest of drawers the list goes on and on .. we made a complaint to Bernadette about how our new property had been treated by her employees and she replied well they wernt invited for Sunday dinner we’re there she decided to come to home to see the damage they had caused and made excuse after excuse for damage after I told her that I did not appreciate her rudeness and utter nonsense she decided to hurl abuse at myself and my partner in our own home .. be warned take your custom elsewhere she is a vile little woman

From my first conversation with Lorraine, then their visit and a swift decision on a reasonable price we gratefully accepted their advice which helped turn a stressful time around. On the day of our move the team turned up on time and with very little upheaval cleared all into the van extremely efficiently and with very little fuss. They ensured at all times that we were fully aware of what was happening and exactly what was where. When we reached our new home all was unloaded and place where we wanted it with good humour and precision. The team were are a great asset to you and I will praise Rob, Tom and Josh for a job well done, it was an extremely long day for them but they handled it in a very professional manner

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: £600

Care Move arrived on the morning of our move unexpectedly after the removal firm TRS Removals which we originally booked had outsourced us without informing us. We had been advised by the original
Removal Firm TRs Removals we would have a van for 9am at 930 we had to call as nobody had arrived .
On expecting a 7.5 tonne lorry to arrive we were a bit taken back by the small truck which arrived instead at 945 . 45 minutes late .We were still actually looking thinking a second lorry was turning up to find that no this was it ? The two staff we could not fault they were apologetic and really nice. You could see they were as embarrassed as we were about the van and any attempt to fit the contents of our 3 bedroom house in it . We were told by the management of Caremove via the phone that the van would have to make numerous trips which was not possible with the deadline for keys for both our sale and purchase. After 2.5 hours of upset , stress , phone calls from both us and the two workers from caremove who appeared to be trying to call in favours from friends to help another lorry arrived.
The workers were fast and efficient in packing . The van which was originally sent for the intended move only actually fitted the contents of our garage so it is evident how small it was . How the management thought this was suitable in the first place to send to such a sizeable move I don't know .
Once the move was complete we asked to speak with the manager Bernadette Dale again in regards to the payment . The whole process of hiring a removal firm is to take the stress and anxiety from the move . The lateness , the van which was not fit for purpose and the 2.5 delay in being able to move any of our items was unacceptable so we wanted the fee to be reviewed . Bernadette was really rude stating she had given the service and done the job and therefore we had nothing to complain about. We felt £100 from the cost was reasonable for the distress had been caused in which Bernadette hastily shouted about paying the amount minus the £100 and then shouted "Get lost" !! She continued to rant in which we put the phone down .
We would not recommend either Care Move or TRS removals due to the poor management and lack of communication with there customers .

Service cost: £600

We booked Bernadette and agreed the price which was fine. The paperwork and website both clearly stated FREE boxes given 2 Weeks before removal date, this is not the case - you are asked to pay £40 which I paid in good faith. Unfortunately our scheduled move didn’t go ahead as planned which was totally out of my control, however Bernadette was kept up to date every step of the way. Our move was finally agreed but Bernadette was unable to offer the service which was understandable and no criticism there. We then had to find another company at short notice who packed our items in their boxes. After offering to drop the boxes off I was told the money is non-refundable and boxes were ours to keep. We didn’t use them so why would we want them. Fully understand overheads so would be willing to have a % deducted but really to not get anything back even with us dropping boxes back is unfair and not stated anywhere. Be warned!!!!!!

We moved last august and it was the first time we have ever used a removals company - and we made the right choice!

Bernadette and Lorraine were both really helpful and informative. The quote given was really reasonable and they actually came to the property to do a thorough quote (which many other companies we contacted didn't bother to do!).

Boxes and packing paper were delivered a month before our move, which gave us plenty of time to get everything packed.

On the moving day, Tom and Isaac arrived 15 minutes early and were really friendly. They were so quick with loading and unloading the van. Both guys were keen to do a professional job. We were really impressed with how they worked.

Would definitely recommend Care Move - a professional company who knows their stuff!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Flat Service cost: £500

Due to lack of care and ownership from Caremove when they did our removals on 16th August and left us in so much mess after paying for a full move costing £1,200, Bernadette the owner is full of herself selling it too you but when it comes to complaining she blames the customer stating we fabricated the pictures, yeh right, she is a jeckal and hyde character, then she has the ordasity of sending us a letter stating we did everything to instructions, they dumped the garage in such a mess with boxes meant for in the bedroom with i hassan to say had my dresses in still on hangars. The outcome of this would have been alot more accepted if Bernadette had have come and seen the mess for herself on the monday 19th and arranged for a couple of guys to come back and reassemble the wardrobe that they dismantled and sort out the garage that they left in a real state. THAT IS CUSTOMER CARE, but instead she has the nerve to say we are lying about everything stating that because i carried a microwave to my car , i was fit and able, I am in recovery from having a Stem Cell Transplant having Multiple Myeloma an incurable blood cancer and my partner has MS and by the time i had got to my new home they had already emptied the one van into the garage and i nor my partner were present when they did it, they just dumped everything. Then boxes in wrong places, bedroom furniture in the wrong rooms and i did tip each guy 20 each due to it being the hottest day on record and they looked exhausted and left at 3pm, it was only when i looked at the devastation they had left 2 disabled people in and Bernadette just wanted to blame us when we paid 1,200 for a full move, which she assured us would happen, took our money and it did not happen and she needs to be held accountable and just make right the wrong that was done for the money we paid her as she insisted on the money the night before, which is unusual as you usually pay the removal guys, well i suppose she rips them off too. All we wanted was for her to be accountable and put things right.

Was worrying about the big day . Will all go to plan??
First of all they was on time.Very cheerful(which I like) and went through all the associated obstacles in their stride.
Thank god I didn't try and do it myself!!
You never realise how much stuff you have and how awkward to remove it can be.
Caremove made it so smoothly with a smile.
I would have no problem recommending CareMove.
